Mother’s Day is this weekend. For those who may have lost their mom or were unable to have children, we understand this may not be a day of celebration – and that’s okay. We have heard of some who purposefully use this day to do random acts of kindness in honor of their mom. We have also heard of some who binge watch Netflix and enjoy copious amounts of junk food – and that’s okay too.

Check out Squasht Boutique in West Town/Ukrainian Village (we especially love their jewelry, hats, leggings and purses) and Love Emme’s online store (we are partial to the candles, fun tote bags and bracelets) to pick out something unique for your one-of-a-kind mom this Mother’s Day.

? Digital Memories – One of the best things we ever did was convert our old family photos, films and VHS tapes to DVDs or digital content. Look for a local place that has the ability to do this “in house” so nothing gets lost.
? Mix Tape – The goofy “mix tape” (on CD) that I made for mom remains one of her favorite gifts. It included all her favorite songs and a selection of music from the year she graduated from high school. The gift itself will be enjoyed, and the time taken to make it will be appreciated.
