The sister restaurant of Koi in Evanston, Chen’s Chinese & Sushi restaurant brings a similar style and contemporary sophistication to the Lakeview neighborhood.

This upscale menu offers cuisine from four different regional styles in addition to an assortment of sushi and sashimi.

Appetizers include Vegetable Rolls, Shanghai Spare Ribs and Spicy Chicken Wings with honey and garlic sauce, among others.

From the sushi bar, you can pick Hama Maki, Nigihama Maki or the Chen’s Golden Roll from the extensive list of rolls and sashimi.

The entree menu includes some of the following scrumptious dishes:

  • Glazed Orange Beef: An orange-based marinade gives a fruity sweetness to these tender, succulent dishes
  • Szechwan Style Red Snapper: a whole fish with head, tail and fins intact; a perfect mixture of honey, garlic and dash of ground pepper sauce gives this crispy fish an exotic flavor
  • Lemon Chicken: with its crisp texture and tender meat, the ratio of sugar and lemon varies with each chef but the final sauce has a fresh and not overly sweet taste
