About Chicago-based designer Tamara Nicole:
Born and raised in Chicago’s west side, Tamara Nicole has come a long way from her childhood interest in fashion.
After designing dresses made out of basketball jerseys, Tamara received attention for her innovative designs. Her talents were recognized throughout Chicago, and in 2003 she won third place in the Illinois VICA Commercial Sewing Competition.
From there, Tamara enrolled in Columbia College Chicago, where she continued to gain recognition for her work. Most recently, she appeared on the second season of Bravo TV’s The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection reality TV competition.
