Backed by Austria’s 110-member Bruckner Orchester, she comes to Chicago to perform George Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess Suite, as well as a special song cycle she recently collaborated on with the great composer Philip Glass called Ife: Three Yor?b? Songs. Rounding out the bill, Kidjo and the orchestra present songs based on Langston Hughes poems by Austrian composer Alexander Zemlinsky.
