Wood Pens & ThingsWith over 200 fine writing instruments in stock, you can find fountain, rollerball, or ballpoint pens made from exotic and/or historic woods and interesting acrylics.

Steven searches out the finest woods, often with historic significance. He also casts his own acrylic designs with spectacular patterns, embedded pictures or objects. He can also do special order laser engraving on some pens.

The Wood Pens & Things motto:
“A fine pen is jewelry for your words.”

Steve, member of the International Association of Penturners:
For over 50 years, Steven Margison has been a hobbyist woodworker and has always enjoyed making something from nothing. By trade, he is an engineer in the high tech world (now retired) and a (still active) theatrical technical director.

Wood Pens & ThingsOnce upon a time, Steve had a wood pen that he liked very much, and realized he could make many of them using different styles and woods. Letting his creative side reign, he knew he would never get rich making pens, but the satisfaction of turning out another new style in another new wood was rewarding enough. The Wood Pens & Things by Margison Woodworks client is a discerning individual that appreciates art and function. If you like fine things, enjoy holding a nice pen, or just having a beautiful desk ornament, Steve is ready to help you.
