Started in Paris in 2008, this immersive art exhibit showcases Van Gogh’s work from his famed “Starry Night” to “The Potato Eaters”. The vision was created by Anabelle Mauger, who was inspired by a model done by her husband’s grandfather. Though similar showcases of other artists’ work have occurred, the Van Gogh Experience is by far the most popular. It gained its popularity after the Netflix show Emily in Paris featured a similar art exhibit.
This exhibition is specially designed for the Lighthouse ArtSpace in Chicago, with 500,000 cubic feet of art projections and details from hundreds of masterpieces. Enjoy it all while taking in the beautiful and historic Germania Club building on Chicago’s Near North Side.
The venue offers various different safety measures for COVID-19 including:
- Mask requirements for unvaccinated guests
- Touchless hand sanitizer stations
- Plexiglass barriers at payment locations
- Contactless payment options
- Social distancing measures, including floor tape
- Enhanced cleaning each day throughout the building
- Contact tracing for all staff and guests
