Meet founder Aakansha Maheshwari at the Oak Brook Artisan Market at Oakbrook Center on Sat & Sun, May 18-19, 2019. This 2-day outdoor market showcases the Midwest’s finest artisans in fashion, food, home goods + art.
Twenty Nine States will be introducing their new clothing hand-block print at the market. They will be displaying 3 different categories of scarves (e.g. handwoven, silk tie-dye & hand block printed). You will also find pillow, throws, and unique gift items.
All products are 100% handmade by a group pf artisans in different states of India. Look for create exciting, new textile designs which leverage traditional craft techniques.
Where does the name Twenty Nine States come from?
India is a union of 29 states represented as part of a Sovereign, Secular, Democratic Republic with a Parliamentary system of Government. Each state of India has a unique demography, history, culture, dress and language or dialect.
