Originally located in Chicago?s North side in the early 1970s, The Claim Company expanded to Northbrook and Oak Brook locations in ?79 and ?81, respectively.
However, in 1994 owner Jim Errant sold his restaurant to an East Coast company in hopes of expanding outside of the Chicago market. When this goal was never achieved, The Claim Company closed in 1997, causing many loyal customers to mourn the loss of a favorite restaurant.
The Claim Company was brought back to life in the form of a Northbrook location in 2009, and is now owned by Arnie Krause. The revived restaurant?s look was inspired by the three original locations so that customers would feel like they were returning home.
The Claim Company does corporate catering and also has a gluten free menu.
