We are pleased to be serving Santa Rita Wines Secret Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Secret Reserve Pinot Noir and Secret Reserve Red Blend at StyleChicago’s The Art of Fashion (Runway Show) presented by Cadillac on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
Heritage and enterprise are hallmarks of Santa Rita, one of Chile’s premier wine estates. Founded in 1880 in Chile’s Maipo Valley, this historic property was among the first to pioneer plantings of European grape varieties in Chile. Santa Rita’s property spans outstanding vineyards in Chile’s most important appellations enabling access to diverse climates and terrain.
Secret Reserve Sauvignon Blanc: Casablanca Valley has gentle sea breezes and cold morning fog, ideal for Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The harvest began in early March for fresh, herbal notes & ended in April for tropical flavors. Fermentation occurred at low temperatures with select yeasts.
Nose: Tremendously intense nose with predominant citrus notes recalling lime, lemon peel, grapefruit, and citrus blossoms. Rounded out by aromas of white peach, tropical fruits and complementing herbal notes.
Alcohol: 13 % pH: 3.22 RS: 1.01 TA: 5.7
Serving Suggestion: This wine is ideal with fresh shellfish, such as oysters and razor clams, and white fish ceviche. Or simply enjoy it as an aperitif.
Secret Reserve Pinot Noir: In this wine, Pinot Noir grapes from three of Chile’s top regions are blended together in pursuit of balance: fruit & freshness from Casablanca, backbone & juiciness from Colchagua Costa, and elegance & roundness from Maipo Alto.
Nose: Nose offers blueberry, cherry and floral notes plus a sweet touch of vanilla, caramel and roasted coffee
Alcohol: 13.5% pH: 3.56 RS: 2.44 g/l TA: 5.07 g/l
Serving Suggestion: A perfect companion for white fish as well as pastas, game birds, duck and some pork dishes.
Secret Reserve Red Blend: The Secret Reserve Red Blend the different grape varieties and picked and fermented separately to achieve their maximum potential: intensity and depth from Cabernet Sauvignon; elegance and softness from Merlot; freshness from Syrah; and the tannins of Carmnre and Petite Verdot.
Nose: Predominating aromas of red fruits such as plums, cherries, and raspberries mingle with notes of black currants and blackberries.
Alcohol: 13.1% pH: 3.62 RS: 3.9 TA: 3.3 g/l
Serving Suggestion: Ideal served with red meats, pastas, creamy sauces and semi-ripe cheeses.
