Hidden amongst the designer shops and showrooms on the sixth floor of Chicago’s massive Merchandise Mart, Richard Norton Gallery is a destination location for Impressionist and Modern paintings, drawings, and sculpture from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The collection covers work by noteworthy period artists, as well as individual pieces that carry historical merit. Artists are primarily American, although works by European artists are present.
Unlike other historically-focused galleries, Richard Norton continually expands its already extensive collection through acquisitions from museum holdings, private collectors and estate collections. New materials are always available on display for visitors and collectors. Other services include consultation, appraisal, consignment, and sales.
While Richard Norton gallery typically serves seasoned collectors tracking down specific works, the gallery space is open to the public 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Stop by to see historical, museum quality work in an open, informal environment.
Take the Merchandise Mart lobby elevators to the sixth floor. Exit left and walk to the rear space of Suite 612.
