To Kari, founder of Pour Kari – Fluid Art by Kari McLaughlin, fluid art is the combination of both creativity and science. However, unlike most scientific outcomes, her art is highly unpredictable. This unknown result is the beauty of her abstract art and why she is passionate about it, Kari wants to share her art in the hopes that others will appreciate it as much as she does.
We are excited to welcome Kari McLaughlin of Pour Kari to the Oak Brook Artisan Market at Oakbrook Center on Sat & Sun, Oct 5-6, 2019. This 2-day outdoor market showcases the Midwest’s finest artisans in fashion, food, home goods + art.
Pour Kari – Fluid Art by Kari McLaughlin creates gallery stretched canvas art of various sizes as well as prints on notecards, magnets, jewelry and custom request pieces.
About the Artist: Kari McLaughlin
Kari McLaughlin lives in Chicago and began this style of painting summer 2018. Her love for this art form has continued to grow just as her skill level has steadily improved. Not only does this art provide a sense of therapy and a creative outlet, but it offers challenges. Color compatibility, paint consistency, various techniques, and the ever growing knowledge of how temperature, humidity and other factors play a role in a painting’s outcome. These factors are just a few challenges presented when creating this art.
