Mikki Chewz are sustainable, chewy chocolates used to raise awareness and help those struggling with mental health problems, especially for people of color in rural and urban communities. (So if you love chocolate and helpling others, this product is for you.)
We look forward to having Mikki Chewz at the Chicago Artisan Market on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 10am-4pm at Morgan MFG (401 N. Morgan St.), along with top Chicago & Midwest artisans in food, fashion, home goods + art.
Each Mikki Chewz confection is rolled in toasted coconut and homemade butter cookies. They have three flavors:
The Original Chew:
This Chew is made with Dark-milk chocolate (58%). It is dusted in a mixture of butter cookie, toasted coconut, and cocoa powder. It tastes like a fudge-y delight filled with toasted coconut and butter cookie inside.
Banana Blu Chew:
This Chew is made of white chocolate. It is dusted in a mixture of banana chips, toasted coconut, and butter cookie. It tastes like a yummy blueberry muffin, filled with crunchy bits of pretzel and chewy blueberries.
Pumpkin Spice Birthday Cake Chew:
This Chew is made of white chocolate. It is dusted in a mixture of butter cookie, toasted coconut, and warm fall spices. It tastes like a delicious, buttery, vanilla-cake filled with pumpkin spices and colorful crunchy sprinkles.
Chocolate has many benefits for the mind, body, and spirit. However, Mikki Chewz wants to focus on the benefits chocolate has on helping the mind. They believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and want to promote that by giving a portion of their profits to mental health help/awareness programs such as NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness). This mission will help them to bring joy (or keep consistent joy) back to all ages and all walks of life.
