Amazing independent cinema is always to be found in Chicago every first Tuesday at Landmark?s Century Centre Theatre during what is known as the Midwest Independent Film Festival.
This festival was created to celebrate the Midwestern Independent Filmmaker and it does a fantastic job at it while being completely volunteer run.
The Midwest Independent Film Festival is constantly soliciting films from independent directors and coordinates events and themed evenings with companies such as IFP to showcase the best in independent filmmaking.
You can expect films such as Diminished Capacity from Steppenwolf Films that stars Matthew Broderick, Virginia Madsen and Alan Alda and that premiered at Sundance.
Landmark Century Centre Theatre is located at 2828 N. Clark St. at Diversy.
