After Saila’s heart journey began, Keila started sewing and making different handmade goods from home to cover medical expenses. By age two, Saila underwent her 5th open-heart surgery; she continues to fight Congenital Heart Disease and will have function of half of her heart for the rest of her life.
In 2014, Keila launched her brand, KozySaila, determined to bring Saila’s story to the world. She initially started selling high-quality “kozy” scarves, made from different materials depending on the season, on her Etsy shop. By 2018, her vision for unique handcrafted scarves had captured the hearts of many and the small business have thrived since then.
Purchases made provide financial support to Saila as she continues to fight Congenital Heart Disease. Thanks to the support of their community, Keila is able to share Saila’s story through one of a kind wearable art pieces.
