Intro to Wellness Qigong Class at the Chicago Artisan Market

Ancient Chinese practice of gentle movements to release tension & reduce stress

Qigong in the Park

Take a one-hour Introductory Wellness Qiqong class at the Chicago Artisan Market on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Learn simple movements to release tension in your neck and shoulders. This routine is easy to do at your home or office and Qigong is appropriate for students of all ages. This class will show you easy, relaxing stretches and movements to do while staying on your feet.

“Both Tai Chi and Qigong cultivate the ‘Qi’ (also spelled chi) – the life energy that flows through the body’s energy pathways – by combining movement, breathing and meditation. However, if there is no Qigong then there is no real Tai Chi – if one cannot master the internal skill of Qigong, then one will not be able to master Tai Chi.”
Tai Chi Society

As ancient cultures have long known, practicing Qigong can have a positive impact on your health and well-being ~ it’s more than a fitness routine for your muscles, it’s a wellness practice for your body and mind!

Qi – “subtle breath” or “vital energy”
Gong – “skill cultivated through steady practice”
