Holiday Magic, Brookfield Zoo’s Light Festival is Chicagoland’s largest and longest running lights festival. See the lights, feel the magic and continue the tradition, with over one million twinkling LED lights, now in its 37th year.

New in 2018 – The Chicago Wolves Ice Skating Rink:
Open Saturday, November 3, 2018 through Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 12noon-4:30pm. (Open 10:00 am to 8:30 pm during Holiday Magic.)
Admission is $7 for all skaters. There are a limited number of skates are available for a $5 rental fee. Skaters are welcome to bring their own skates.
The Chicago Wolves skating rink is not made of ice, but of a synthetic material known as Glice® – no water or electricity is required for operation. Brookfield Zoo is one of only three zoos in the country to install a Glice® rink!

Many indoor exhibits will be open for viewing favorite animals, plus there will be Singing to the Animals (Reindeer, Big Cats, Bears) and special Zoo Chats. In addition, the zoo restaurants and food stands will be open with full menus and holiday treats, and gift shops will have hundreds of unique items for those hard-to-shop-for loved ones.
Wild Encounters will be open during Holiday Magic and Wild Encounters admission is free after 4pm. A special 6:00 pm Dolphins in Action is back! The parakeet aviary will be closed.
