HIRMIE Handmade Crafts from Chicago entrepreneur Hirman Ahmad makes stylish face mask lanyards and a collection of pandemic-themed gifts for what he calls the current “Pandemoment”.

The HIRMIE Handmade Crafts mask lanyard has two clasps, one on each end of the lanyard for use with any kind of mask. Hirman experiments with different texture ribbons, metals and other materials to make the lanyards. In the process, he adds charms to the mask lanyard because a little personalization brings joy.
The mask lanyard from HIRMIE Handmade Crafts will complement all the face masks makers. If you’ve ever dropped a mask on the ground, you know that the mask lanyard is more of a necessity than an accessory (and a safer alternative to wearing a gator mask substitute). It is a useful and environmentally friendly product that will secure your face mask so you don’t lose, drop or misplace your mask again.
Pandemic necessity is truly the mother of invention:
The idea started when Hirman would bike to work everyday. It was difficult to wear a face mask while biking because of how windy Chicago can be so he began looking for a mask lanyard to attach to his face mask. He was also disturbed by the amount of disposable masks and cloth masks that were littered along bike paths and street pavements. Hirman created a mask lanyard based on the memory of his parents and grandparents having lanyards attached to their reading glasses. Same concept. Simple idea. Necessary accessory.
