About the candles:
Coconut wax is one of the slowest, cleanest burning waxes available, so your candle will last longer than you might expect, and utilizing cotton wicks ensures there is no lead or zinc present. The vessels are glass and elegantly designed with a baroque etching to be reused as containers around the house. The seeded paper covers use earth-friendly, water-soluble inks and can be planted to produce beautiful wildflowers. Every detail was thought through to try to deliver a product that would be safe for you and enhance the world you live in.

Tina Weller of Fumee Claire CandlesAbout the name:
Tina grew up proud of her French and Italian heritages and some of her favorite memories included hearing her mother speak in French as they visited the towns and villages she grew up in. When Tina thought of what her candles represented, she typed the words “Clean Smoke” in French and instantly knew that name was the perfect representation. Fumée Claire was created to honor her French heritage while creating a pure and clean product.

About the Artisan:
Tina Weller, Fumée Claire’s founder, has personally spent the last 25 years contributing her time and resources to help numerous charities in the Chicago area. Founded with the intention to give back to charity, each product purchased will help contribute to a yearly philanthropy fund awarded to charities that make a difference to those in need. They select agencies that provide services to women and children, the food insecure, the disabled, medically challenged, elderly, the arts, preservation and the homeless, in addition to education enrichment programs for the underprivileged.
