Frederick Baker is the Midwest’s largest gallery dedicated to works on paper. Their extensive collection covers 16th-19th century American and European fine prints, drawings and watercolors with a concentration on work from 1850-1950. The gallery also holds some larger paintings and bronze sculpture by contemporary artists.
A pioneer of the growing West Loop art scene, Frederick Baker has been in business for more than 35 years. The gallery works closely with private collectors, museums and other dealers nationwide. Visitors will find only the best original work from historically significant artists, all preserved in excellent condition. Catalogs illustrating new acquisitions, solo-artists and theme exhibitions are produced yearly at no charge to subscribers.
In addition to participating in three major art fairs, including the International Fine Print Dealers Association New York Armory show and the Chicago Print Fair, Frederick Baker also hosts lectures and corporate events. The extremely knowledgeable gallery staff is available for consulting and acquisition services. The gallery also operates a full-service framing shop.
Located steps away from the Blue Line’s Racine station, Frederick Baker offers free lot parking adjacent to the gallery.
