Based in the Chicagoland area and specializing in hand-knit hats, scarves, wraps, shawls, beanies and infinity scarves, F U Clothing was founded by Jennifer Curry Rumps.
Because F U Clothing focuses on detail – creating new designs only once a year – there are months spent on perfecting. Always handmade and always zoning in on beauty and cutting edge fashion, the items are guaranteed to bring compliments. It is an environmentally conscious company, hand-making all products, recycling materials, working with other local small businesses and purchasing eco-friendly yarns whenever possible.
Meet & shop with designer Jenny of F U Clothing at the Chicago Artisan Market at Morgan Manufacturing (401 N. Morgan St., Chicago) on Sunday, December 2, 2018 (10am-4pm) along with 100+ of Chicago’s finest artisans in food, fashion, home goods + art.
About the name… the question always asked! There are many reasons for the name, but F U Clothing originally came from Jennifer’s dislike of people who only choose clothes with a famous designer name attached. Jennifer believes that swear words are a great stress reliever (scientifically proven!), and the label always seems to bring a laugh!
About the Designer:
Jennifer started her career as a vintage buyer for clothing exported to Japan. She moved on to be a visual display artist, doing window displays and merchandising. Jennifer traveled throughout Australia, picking up on their culture and fashion before getting married and staying home to raise her children. She was able to focus time on growing her dream company, F U Clothing.
