Emmy Brown IllustrationsEmmy paints with gouache (a painting medium designed to be opaque) and colored pencils addition to drawing digitally. She creates art prints, one-of-a-kind ornaments (to go alongside her illustrations), enamel pins and small anthropomorphic animals (animals in human clothing) made from needle felted wool.

About the Artisan:
Emmy is a Detroit-born artist now living in Chicago. She has been drawing since she was a kid, and she got her first drawing tablet in 2005. Emmy has a strong interest in craft-making and studied eight years of Japanese language and even minored in Japanese and Asian Studies in college. She attended Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Carthage College, and Columbia College Chicago.
