Both singers’ careers spanned more than half a century, during which time they left an indelible mark on the music and entertainment industry: Horne as a Hollywood performer, nightclub singer and Civil Rights Movement activist, and Fitzgerald as a solo artist renowned for her collaborations with Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. In celebration of the divas’ 100th birthday, the Chicago Cabaret Professionals present Ella & Lena, a musical tribute at Victory Gardens Zacek McVay Theater featuring songs by eight outstanding vocalists.
