Doodlebooth is a portraiture service from Chicago-based artist Jana Kinsman. Give her some space and she will hand draw any of your guests who are interested. The drawings are scanned and digitally compiled, and the original goes home with the subject.
After the event, Jana provides the digital copies to your guests through an online album, where they’ll be able to share their illustrations via social media. It’s like a caricature, but very non-traditional — and totally fun.
Meet & get drawn by Jana of Doodlebooth at the Chicago Artisan Market at Morgan Manufacturing (401 N. Morgan St., Chicago) on Sunday, September 16, 2018 (10am-4pm) along with Chicago’s finest artisans in food, fashion, home goods + art.
Doodlebooth is perfect for weddings, corporate events, graduation, birthday and retirement parties … the list goes on. For one person, Jana uses a 4”×7” page, and for two people, a 5″×7″ page.
Jana has been illustrating her entire life. With a style evolving from both Western- and Eastern-style cartooning, she is heavily influenced by both pop culture and fashion illustrations. Her fascination with drawing people has culminated in Doodlebooth – an idea hatched while sipping a mimosa and drawing friends at a Christmas party.
Past clients have included Macy’s, Land of Nod, Disney, Cards Against Humanity and Microsoft.
