On Thursday, October 19, 2017, eight emerging designers showcased a look inspired by Cadillac’s concept car, the Escala, as an opening segment of StyleChicago.com’s The Art of Fashion (Runway Show) presented by Cadillac.

After this opening segement, the 11th season of this show continued with new collections by nine of Chicago’s top established and emerging fashion designers.

At the end of the show, Chicago-based designer Taneasha Prunty representing her design label, Gidi, took home the Daring Design Challenge trophy.  As part of her prize, Taneasha will be flown to New York City for a complimentary photo shoot at the prestigious Cadillac House, where Men’s Fashion Week is held.
