Naha combines the culinary talents of cousins Carrie and Michael Nahabedian at this first-rate River North restaurant.
The Nahabedians are both well versed in the Chicago food scene: Michael is a restaurateur formerly associated with known venues Green Dolphin Street and Cafe Absinthe while Carrie’s culinary resume is split between prestigious restaurants in California and Chicago such as the Ritz-Carlton, Le Francais and the Four Seasons Hotel.
The restaurant incorporates a modern, unfussy design with large windows that invite a marvelous view of the city. Vibrant artwork commissioned by Lora Fosberg lines neutral colored walls.
Naha’s menu includes a thoughtful selection of Californian-inspired Mediterranean seasonal entrees composed by Chef Carrie Nahabedian. Entrees vary in price, ranging between $25-40 such as:
- Blossom honey duck breast with caramelized Belgian endive and broccoli rabe
- Venison with huckleberries, roasted chestnuts and Brussels sprouts, celery root and “honey crisp” applesauce
- Wild Carolina Coast striped bass and Tasman Sea scampi with saladOver 30 wines by the glass are available, changing frequently with new labels for new seasons.
Eclectic gourmet desserts composed by Pastry Chef Craig Harzewski allow you to end your meal at Naha on a sweet note. Try the Hazelnut “Financier” Cake with “Cara Cara” Orange Sorbet, Clementines and Milk Chocolate.
