Belloc Lowndes Gallery shows contemporary art from both sides of the Atlantic, specializing in painting, sculpture and works on paper by British and American artists. Initially, owner Charles Belloc Lowndes intended the gallery as an introductory venue for renowned British artists in America, but after 11 years in business the gallery has expanded to include a strong roster of emerging American artists.
Belloc Lowndes shows his artists internationally, delighting collectors in the U.S. and U.K. alike. Gallery artists include Victor Pasmore, Karl Weschke, John Carter, Kathleen Dunn and Norman Ackroyd. The gallery maintains a strong presence on the international art fair circuit. Past fairs have included Art Chicago, Art London, the Toronto International Art Fair and the San Francisco International Art Exposition.
The gallery exhibits primarily figurative work along with some abstraction by leading gallery artists. Belloc Lowndes spends at least two years researching and evaluating artists before taking them on, so collectors can rest assured that they are purchasing fine art from true professionals.
Customers appreciate the gallery’s dedicated service, and Belloc Lowndes goes out of his way to work closely with collectors, consult on sales and acquisitions, appraise work and track down art for clients. The gallery is also available for event rental.
