Banato: Banana-based Sorbet Without Added Sugar

Original. Healthy. Delicious.

Banato

Banato, from Jennifer Chan, is a banana-based sorbet bar which contains no dairy, no added sugars, and all-natural ingredients. She believes that healthy food should be accessible to all people, therefore a percentage of the profits go towards donating Banato to communities in need.

We are excited to welcome Banato back to the Chicago Artisan Market on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Morgan MFG (401 N. Morgan St., Chicago). Discover 100+ top Chicago & Midwest artisans in food, fashion, home goods + art.

Banto is currently available in three flavors, with several others in developement.

Banato• Toasted Coconut
Slightly nutty hints of homemade toasted coconut shards complemented with the notes of Madagascar vanilla bean.

• Chocolate Almond
Rich, high-quality cocoa combined with flakes of roasted almonds and slightly sweetened with the flavor of banana.

• Strawberry Banana
Delicious notes of strawberry mixed with the tang of lemon adds a naturally refreshing finish to this delightfully fruity bar.

Banato is created through blending fruits and spices, and all its sweetness stems from the natural flavor of fruit. The first reaction most customers have to Banato is, “Wow!” The frozen desert is available as bars (3 oz. serving size) and pops (.6 oz. serving size).

Crafted with care, Jennifer hopes to change the common perceptions about dessert, proving that “indulgence” can also be healthy.
