Anchor Graphics

Recently relocated to Columbia College’s Chicago campus, Anchor Graphics runs a community-based, nonprofit professional printshop and gallery space (the latter coming soon) dedicated to advancing the art of printmaking through education, outreach and production.

The Printshop: Chicago’s only fine art printshop. Artists of all experience and age levels are welcome, encouraged to explore and innovate, and supported by a professional staff of master printmakers. The shop offers open studio time to area artists and sponsors an Artist-in-Residency program that draws artists from across the country to Chicago to share their knowledge and work.

The Gallery: temporarily closed – permanent collection of original artwork still available for viewing and sale. This space will serve as a venue for artists to exhibit their print-based work and present free lecture/demonstrations to students and the public.

Education: Anchor Graphics mentors Chicago area at-risk youth through their traveling Press-On-Wheels workshops and high school classes. They also offer a full internship program for college students, free lectures, demonstrations and outreach programs for the public, as well as adult printmaking and lithography classes.

Adult night classes start in the fall.

For art and inspiration, call 312.344.6864 or stop by the printshop on the second floor of the Wabash Campus Building.
