Jake Shimabukuro, whose staggering skills have redefined the ukulele and led critics to compare him to Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix, plays the open-air venue of Ravinia Pavilion at this year's Ravinia Festival. His music ranges from traditional Hawaiian tunes to jazz, blues, folk and rock covers like the Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." Shimabukuro has received millions of YouTube views, played with musicians ranging from Yo-Yo Ma to Jack Johnson to Bette Midler, performed for the Queen of England and recently appeared in the Adam Sandler movie Just Go With It, set in his native Hawaii. His latest CD, Peace Love Ukulele, debuted at the top of the Billboard World Music chart.
