The successful alt-rock band with an accordion player at center-stage might seem improbable, but get mere seconds into the BoDeans' classic '90s hit "Closer to Free" (best remembered as the theme song to TV's Party of Five) and it all makes sense.
Formed in Wisconsin, the BoDeans started out with a rootsier sound before transitioning into alt-rock and mainstream success. Helmed by founding frontman Kurt Neumann, the BoDeans continue to mix roots, alt and other influences into their signature sound.
