Conductor Christoph Eschenbach and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra bring a Brahms Bonanza to the revered Ravinia, the oldest outdoor music festival in North America, dating back to 1936.
They'll take on the German composer's last major orchestral works, including 1885's Symphony No. 4 and the Concerto in A Minor for Violin and Cello, written in 1887 -- both noted for their innovative structures. Soloists Nicola Benedetti on violin and cellist Leonard Elschenbroich join the CSO for these always-exciting summer performances.
