|Aria's culturally diverse menu is designed to transport patrons around the world. From Chicago to China and most everywhere in between, Aria mends the global gap with eclectic fusion recipes.
Located in the Fairmont Hotel Chicago across the Randolph St. from Millennium Park and the terrific Harris Theatre for Music & Dance, Aria is a reliable warm-up or elegant nightcap for performing arts enthusiasts.
Like its menu, the restaurant's interior draws inspiration from all over the world. Modern and spacious, the main dining room is draped in warm orange and red tones, while the sushi bar sticks to a cool palette of metallic blues.
Executive Chef Noah Bekofsky's menu is a paradox of adventurous comfort foods. He uses a distinct blend of American and global culinary techniques which evolve past rigid conventions.
Pre-performance appetizers include chilled items such as duck confit napoleon and Maine lobster-avocado spring rolls and hot starters like wild mushroom risotto and grilled Caribbean prawns. Unwind with a glass from Aria's extensive wine list. A number of domestic and global labels are available, including organic-biodynamic bottles, which are rarely found on most wine lists.
The menu features unique entree items such as:
Moroccan spiced free range chicken breast with sultanas, currants, Israeli couscous, shaved fennel and preserved lemon
Fiery beef with wok-seared noodles, Chinese broccoli, shitake mushrooms, purple basil, sprouts and Thai chilies
Bengali vegetable curry with eggplant, winter squash, cauliflower, peas, lemon-scented jasmine rice in sweet curry
For dessert, dig into one of Aria's signature sweets like Thai lemongrass creme brulee with passion fruit granite and cardamom-scented exotic fruit or warm Irish chocolate cake with Jameson's Irish Whiskey ice cream and steel cut oatmeal tuille.
Aria Bar is truly one of Chicago's finest. The bar provedes both a communal area with tables and individual, private recesses, great for close conversation. Complete with sari-inlaid tables, a global soundtrack and the feel of a lounge, Aria Bar is an ideal place to enjoy their extensive noodle, sushi and sake menu.
