|one sixtyblue has closed its location at 1400 W. Randolph St. in the West Town / Randoph St. neighborhood of Chicago.
Located on the western end of restaurant row on Randolph Street, one sixtyblue offers stylish, modern cuisine in an equally stylish, contemporary setting.
Housed in a former factory, the restaurant was reconstructed with the help of architect Adam Tihany. The main dining room is airy and modern, with sleek, dark wooden accents contrasting against neutral yellows.
The kitchen works with a contemporary fare of regional, organic ingredients infused with classic French culinary techniques.
Menu items are seasonal, with hot and cold appetizers such as rock shrimp gnocchi, chilled ahi tuna tartare and a selection of homemade soups. Representative entrees include:
Duo of free-range veal and pan-roasted striploin served with crispy sweetbread, spinach mousseline, bacon lardon, and pickled white mushroom in a mustard-honey sauce
Alaskan halibut with porcini mushrooms, glazed chestnuts, vanilla bean and frisee in a balsamic vinegar caramel
Prime Delmonico steak with potato puree, thyme, caramelized shallots, and watercress salad in a roasted shallot sauce
one sixtyblue offers a prix fixe event menu for $49 per person, complete with appetizer, entree and dessert with a choice of cocktail, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or Bel Normande sparkling apple cider.
