| Nicole Gallery’s beautiful River North space is furnished with the nation’s premiere collection of 20th-century Shona stone sculpture, shown alongside stunning works by contemporary Haitian, African, African-American, Caribbean, and World artists.
Owner Nicole Smith founded the gallery in 1986 after serving as curator for Le Centre d’Art in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Through her national and international connections, she has been able to champion the careers of Nigerian artists such as N’Namdi Okonkwo, Haitian artist Franck Louissaint, and American Allen Stringfellow.
Nicole’s incredible eye for color and gift for description make any visit a real delight, especially for those who share Nicole’s love for vibrant color and beautiful forms.
Gallery artists often travel to attend exhibition openings. Stop by the original River North location to meet the modern masters of world art, or visit Nicole Gallery 2, located near the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park.
Street parking available at both locations.
